HISTORICAL SUMMARY/GENERAL IMPRESSIONS:
White Shepherds gradually developed as a separate breed in the USA and Canada. The first copies were imported to Switzerland in the 1970s. Born in the USA on March 5, 1966, a dog named Lobo can be considered the "father" of the breed in Switzerland. His descendants, entered in the Swiss pedigree book (LOS), and subsequent dogs imported from the USA and Canada, gave rise to a large group of white shepherd dogs. Currently, these dogs, whose origin has been known for several generations, are known throughout Europe. The breed has been recognized in Switzerland since 1991.
GENERAL IMPRESSION: A strong, well-muscled dog of medium size, with moderately strong bones and an elongated, elegant silhouette. The white shepherd has erect ears, long or short fur, always with an undercoat
